In the words of Donna

"I have stage IV malignant melanoma. All of the treatment that we are doing is alternative to conventional medicine as conventional medicine can't do anything for me, their only solution was to pump me full of Chemo which has very poor response rates for melanoma and it would have a 30% chance of getting me 1 year but would have side effects of sickness and losing my hair etc.

The alternative treatment is immune boosting to get your body to fight back. We went to Mexico to do the Issels programme for 28 days which if you google it there is lots of information this was £30K. I am also under a doctor called Dr Callebout in London who has me on an intense programme, his vitamins and supplements cost around £8k per month.

We are now off to the ITL clinic in the Bahamas for 8 weeks for immuneaugmentation therapy to get my immune system as strong as possible, this will cost around £25K and then there is a possibility that we will need to go to Germany for more aggressive treatment, but if we do by then my immune system should be best placed to handle the treatment.

So all in all it isn't a cheap process but with everyone's kind donations and fundraising it all helps to make it possible."
